ring action
When I’m uncomfortable I wiggle my ring. The weird part is that I do it in the same exact way my dad plays with his wedding ring when he’s nervous. Inherited or learned neurosis?

i do the same thing although no one in my family does. one day i didn’t have my rings on (i always wear one on each middle finger) and i freaked out. it felt like i was naked
could be either. my cousin died when his son was a baby and now his kid is 7 and wears his socks falling off of the ends of his feet in the same exact peculiar manner his dad did.
I do that too with the ring. I spin it clockwise around my pinky with my thumb.
I don’t wear much jewelry but I always have to wear a ring because I need it for my nervous habits. I take off my ring and then push it as far as it will go on each finger on both hands. Over and over. Several times a day, I’ll suddenly realize I’ve lost my ring. My mouth goes dry and my heart races. Then I feel my finger with my thumb, and my ring is actually there after all.
