popsicles
I hate the touch of unpolished wood. Holding a popsicle stick gives me goosebumps. I have to eat popsicles by holding the stick with my sleeve, even though it gives me purple stains.

same, but with paper lolly pop sticks. ughhjhhhj
Why don’t you hold it with the wrapper instead?
Oh, so familiar!! Scraping my teeth on the stick is even worse, it makes me shiver and want to gag at the same time.
And suede? I can’t stand touching it.
same here but not as bad with my hands, just cringe when it touches my teeth
my boyfriend is the same way but only with his teeth, he can’t even LOOK at anyone who is biting down on a popsicle stick or a piece of paper, it makes him cringe
My husband is the same way with wooden spoons. He threw all of mine out when I first met him.
Same here, Oh my god it feels so good to have someone say that this bothers them too.
You have no idea.
I want to cringe and puke whenever I think about popsicle sticks, and am infact doing it a little just thinking about all of this.
I think velvets the worst for me /:
Oh my god, scraping your teeth on popsicle sticks. I think the wood is going to splinter my teeth and I’ll be in agony. I can eat it as long as I don’t move it up or down, that makes me freak out
Oh, I was TOTALLY thinking of submitting this one!
Just LOOKING at, or even THINKING of, wooden food-related utensils makes me feel like I’m ‘tasting’ them… it’s utterly disturbing!
I hate it too!! Ugh ugh ugh. Shiver.
Same here! Pottery, popsicle sticks, etc. Just thinking about nails on a chalkboard will instantly send shivers down my spine. What about rubbing a piece of paper? Gives me goosebumps too.
cardboard and paper bags do the same thing to me. I get goosebumps and my teeth feel strange…sort of itchy.
Cotton fiber, like disposable napkins, tissues and even some fabrics right at the tops of the finger tips. And the sensation won’t end! But yes, popsicle sticks and cheap chopsticks too.
I am not so thrilled with popsicle sticks either but I like popsicles enough to deal with it. What I can’t stand is when I let my cat lick the popsicle but the cat licks the stick as well. The rough tongue of the cat in combination with the raw wood of the stick is horrible.
HOLY crap… Now this is one that I really thought was unique to me. I can’t believe other people have this aversion too.
I hate it too!!! For as long as I can remember!
Nice to know I’m not alone! I can’t eat popsicles (Teeth scraping ice plus teeth scraping wood? Count me out!), and Chinese food and shish kebabs are really hard to handle.
Me, too! Ditto the unglazed pottery.
I hate that too. Also the touch of unglazed pottery. Its like nails scratching on a chalkboard.
