public bathrooms. specifically airplane bathrooms
With all the diseases you can catch in public restrooms I think the worst are in airplane bathrooms. Every time I have to go in a plane I hold my breath inside and hurry as fast as I can. If I have to take a breath I do it through my mouth which is covered by a tissue so I don’t smell the weird smell that is always lingering in there and hopefully protects me from airborne germs.

You think that smell of urine or any other human waist is poisoned? Airborne germs can’t hurt you when you breath them, and did you know that there are more germs on your computer mouse than on the toilet seat?
Here’s a nice gross-out for you. I was on a long-haul flight recently and felt unwell. Also, I couldn’t sleep, and was so deranged with exhaustion that between the two I thought I was going to be physically ill. I went to the powder room just in case. I was so horribly unwell that I locked myself in, and curled up at the base of the loo bowl. I closed the lid and slept for a few minutes. Then I felt fine. But when i got up I remember thinking, ‘This is the absolute filthiest I have ever been in my entire life.’
You are far better off breathing through your nose, despite the smell. Your nose has hairs and a mucous lining that is designed to catch bacteria and germs. Just make sure you stay hydrated to keep those mucous membranes moist!!!
A lot of people have bathroom habits related to cleanliness and germs – nothing uncommon there. However, I’m confused by what you (and others with similar germ phobias) refer to as “the diseases you can catch in public restrooms.” What are these diseases? I’m not trying to make fun of you, I’m genuinely confused. I’ve never heard of someone catching a disease in a bathroom.
