adding time = number i like
This one is a doozy and I can’t quite believe I’m airing this out in public. So, until the age of about 15, I had numbers that I “liked” and “disliked” (I don’t even remember the reasoning behind that). When I woke up in the mornings, the first thing I’d do would be to add up all the numbers in the time, and I wouldn’t get out of bed until they added up to a number that I “liked.” Yeah. I know.

I had the same problem – only problem was that my favorite number was zero
This may have saved your life a couple times without you knowing it.
When I was young, thought the number 8 was sexy (or represented sexy)….and 44 was the king of all numbers….0 was a fat lady, and 11 was her skinning brothers, 3 meant food, 9 was the evil..there were other but those were the major players.
I have to get certain numbers to figure out what the time means. I have to keep adding it together or make an equation to make it a number that means something
I’ve come to the conclusion that 11:11 is the best time of the day or night. By far. Before digital clocks, I always thought 10:10 was best, but for digital clocks, it’s 11:11.
If I see a stopped analog clock, I try to reset it to 10:10 if I can. I have reset many non-operational analog clocks to 10:10. It seems like the right thing to do.
There are ways of figuring out what your name adds up to, such as writing the numbers 1-9 as column headings, then writing the alphabet left to right across the columns, so that A=1, and J=1. So you sum the values of all the letters in your name, than reduce that number to a single digit like so: 29=2+9=11=1+1=2. I’m sharing this in the hope of getting a neurotic to change their name.
Holy crap! I’ve been telling people that my favorite number was 37 as a joke because I was #37 for the first girl I slept with (I only learned she’d been with that many guys afterward). And I just added the numbers corresponding to my name based on the above. N=14 + I=9 + C=3 + K=11 =37. That’s a strange coincedence.
i did that same thing! i even hated the number nine.. i always thought it seemed really stuck up or something. and six was kind of a pushover, etc etc. i really thought i was the only weirdo who thought that.
