spinach, bugs, and frogs stir fry
When I open a bag of spinach, I have to use it all at once or I can’t use it again. I’m afraid something (it used to be bugs. Now it’s frogs) will get in the bag and wind up in whatever I’m cooking.

I found a bug once in spinach that I’d bought FROZEN! This was after I’d added it to my Bolognese. I picked the bug out and continued cooking.
where do you keep the opened bag, in the garden? Be reassured frogs can’t open fridges try keeping the bag in there and then you will be able to use the contents.
bugs won’t but bacteria surely will, so don’t worry, you’re not THAT neurotic
One time at my boyfriend’s house, we found a frog in a bag of marshmallows. The bag had already been opened and had been left in the garage in a grocery bag with other food, like boxes of gram crackers and Hershey’s chocolate bars. We all found this hilarious. We took pictures of the little frog and released him in the garden.
My mom bought some special kind of lettuce one time and made a sandwich with it. Somehow, even after washing the lettuce, a slug ended up in her sandwich. She said it squeaked when she bit through it. blegh! I still can’t eat any sort of greens without inspecting it and washing it THOROUGHLY first.
