tiny piranhas attack
If I’m taking a bath instead of a shower, I have to pull the plug after I’m out of the bath. Otherwise, I worry that tiny piranhas will swim up the pipes, through the drain, and into my bath while it’s draining and attack me.

I have to unplug the bath whilst I’m in it, otherwise I think I may slip getting out, knock myself out and drown.
I had this fear when I was a small child, except my fear was that I might go down the drain. I would scream bloody murder if my mom pulled the plug before I got out of the tub.
I haven’t taken a bath in a long time, but when I was younger I had exactly the same fear of piranhas! Also, I thought an octopus tentacle might come out of the drain.
Had you told me this when I was slightly younger I would have developed the same fear. However, I work at a pet store and I now realize that piranhas don’t try to bite people.
reminds me of Stephen King’s “It”.
I can’t be in the tub while it is filling, because someone in my family told me a story about how saw a tarantula crawl out of the faucet and into the tub while they were on the toilet in a third world country a zillion years ago. I have to let the water run, then wait, then sit way far away from the faucet, and not let my feet get under it. I am terrified of tarantulas, though I live in the arctic now, so my ritual is pointless.
