cut up by a ceiling fan
i can’t put ceiling fans on the fastest setting because they start to shake and i am afraid they will fall off the ceiling and slice me up. even in the hottest weather, i can’t have them faster than the medium speed.

Once the ceiling fan in my old house fell from the ceiling with no warning. It was on high…
I refused to stand near it after it was fixed.
Its not so far fetched … in my last apartment, the fan came unscrewed from the ceiiling and starting shaking wildly. Luckily I turned it of in time … it turns out the wiring alone can support the weight of the fan at least for a while.
me too! it’s a source of frustration in my household.
I’m afraid to go to Cracker Barrel because their fans always shake and I’m terrified they’re going to fly off and cut off someone’s head. I can’t handle it.
I actually had a fan come flying off the ceiling one time. It was scary as hell.
Me too! When I was really little I had an irrational fear of fans. For some reason I always ran, not walked under the fan in my sisters room b/c I thought it would randomly drop off of my ceiling. I had no fears about the one in my room, though.
OMG! I thought I was alone. All my friends stare at me when I hide under the desks at school when they turn the fans on at school. Seriously, they have fans that hang a metre down from the roof and when I went to primary school the fans there were hanging by the cords. But it’s not irrational to think their going to fall out of the roof and cut you up, i think.
