I deliberately don’t memorize my bank account number so that if I’m kidnapped they can’t beat the number out of me no matter how much money I have in my account.

They could just steal your credit card and do it the easy way.

Why do people think*
Mainly aimed at Little Known, I like the comments there really is no need to be rude about people who have their own opinions and it’s just possible that the person with the neurosis will gain some benefit from them.
but they are neuroses.. people’s comments on a website aren’t going to help? at the very least, they need therapy. And I wasn’t being rude, so much as observative… These silly comments aren’t miraculously to make the person be like ‘OHHH, you’re right!” We have neuroses in our lives because it is a small way of giving ourselves a way of controlling our environments..
not all neuroses are strict compulsions though, right? i mean if i came up with, or someone suggested a better way to deal with one of my neuroses i’d be happy to hear it, and i know it may or may not work for me. i didnt hear anyone say “oh thats ridiculous… get over it”
by the way, i’d think it would be motivation to memorize your bank number so they wouldnt have to beat you, but i suppose we all have our priorities, lol.
