perfect change
I’m a cashier, and I get really excited when someone’s change back is $.41, because I can give them back one of each coin. I get really, REALLY excited when someone pays for a $3.59 purchase with a $20 bill, because I can give them back one of each bill AND one of each coin.

I was like that too when I was a cashier.
I’m guessing being a cashier has a high potential for boredom.
omg me too! it was the highlight of my day. lol. i hated giving back $.93 like really? you don’t have an extra $.07?
This one was pretty great.
I do that EVERY DAY. Oh man, being a cashier.
I love this. If I knew you, I’d buy something that was $3.59 just to see the excitement lol.
I haven’t ran a register in many years, but I still watch for the 41 cents. (And no it’s not .41 cents, that would be 41% of a penny. That’s another of my nueroses.)
I’ve cashiered for years, $0.41 was always my favorite. While working at one restaurant I noticed that the total two drinks and two salad bar meals was $13.34. If the customer paid with a $20, the change would be $6.66. It freaked a lot of people out.
A small cup of drip coffee at my work is $1.45. After tax, the total is $1.59. Might I add that we sell more small cups of coffee than any other drink? I love my job. This makes my day.
