2 extra for backup
When i staple my papers i always have to do it 3 times. I feel that if i don’t do this then my staple will fall off and my papers get separated but this way if one staple falls off i still have 2 more to hold the papers together and keep them from getting separated. I’m a sophomore in college and Ive been doing this since i was in 8th grade.

Just be sure you don’t apply the same rule to condoms. I think two or more can cause friction issues as well as failure (of the condom)..
Friends of the Earth, an environmental advocacy group, says if 10 Million office workers each used one less staple a day it would save 120 tons of steel a year. 120 tons!
I came here to mention double wrapping condoms, and I see I have already been beat.
