conversation on the move
Whenever I speak to someone over the phone, I always have to be walking somewhere. I’m either walking home from the train station, walking down town, or just pacing back and forth in my room. Walking helps me concentrate on what’s going on in the conversation, otherwise the conversation would be incredibly bland.

I do this all the time also, it drives my sister crazy!
me too. I can’t talk on the phone while sitting still!
I find that walking keeps blood flowing through my body, making it easier for me to think faster.
Me too. I usually find myself dusting as well.
For me it’s not just the phone, I need to be moving even when I’m speaking with someone in person. I know it’s distracting and annoying for them but if stop moving I suddenly run out of things to say or talk about and the silence is painfully awkward.
My boyfriend does this! He paces around his house whenever his mom calls (its the only lengthy phone convo he ever really has)
i thought i was the only one! friends and family have always made fun of me for “wearing a track into the carpet” when i’m on the phone. :-/
hahaha, if I’m not pacing back and forth while on the phone, I lose track of the conversation because I get distracted by things – like what’s on the television. The pacing keeps me focused on what the other person’s saying. It drives any other person in the room buggy.
Me too. I also have to walk in circles or figure 8 patterns. the circle can be as large as around the block over and over.
