Butterflies scare the living shit out of me. When I was younger, somebody told me that if I touched a butterfly, it would never fly again. I was already not the butterflies’ biggest fan, but this was the final straw. I know they’re not going to get hurt, and I’m not going to be in anyways injured by them, but I remain horribly scared of them to the point where I go and walk the opposite way of them and cross streets just to avoid them.

I once touched one by accident as a child that was all curled up asleep in my gradparent’s house, it flashed its wings at me and it just freaked me out… maybe I was scared before I forget.
And people make fun of me too, but some people are scared of feathers which is even more pathetic.

My best friend is afraid of butterflies. He flipped out one time when we were sitting on the lawn of the local library and one landed next to him.
me too! when i was about 7, my friend told me that if you touched a butterfly, your hand will start to get itchy and get rashes and stuff. we once visited a butterfly garden and i was like shrieking like hell at the front gate.
I’m terrified of butterflies too! My grandma once told me if the powder from the butterfly’s wings gets in your eyes you’ll go blind. So now whenever one comes close I freak out.
I’m terrified of them too. Though I think I’m more freaked out by their wings. Something about big bug wings freaks me out really bad, and butterflies are the worst. If I’m in a car and I see one outside, I have to put all the windows up because I’m so scared it will get inside.
I thought i was the only one!!! Just a couple weeks ago i was walking the dog sucking on a peppermint when butterfly flew straight at my head, i nearly choked to death!! Doesn’t help that i live in the monarch capitol of the world.
