If it is dark in a hallway or stairwell I must run because I fear a octopus will grab me from behind. Yes, I am afraid of the dark also and have had a black light for a night light for almost 12 years (it has never been turned off).

I’m afraid of the dark too because I’m always convinced that I see something out of the corner of my eye. You’re not alone!
I used to be afraid of dark hallways too and I would have to run to get through them. But something happened and now I almost prefer to walk around my house with no lights on.
Ok, sorry that this really has nothing to do with this but…it is really bugging me that there is no heading for this post…….sorry had to get it out.
My dad had a toy octopus when I was a kid, it squeaked, and I was scared of it so he would chase me with it. I totally understand the fear of octopi(pusses?!). Who knows.
Chrissie: You are correct. They are both correct, although octopi is more pleasant to the ear.
I still sprint down dark hallways. And I’m twenty.
No idea why they freak me out so much.
