the clear conscience of a child
i can’t stand talking to children under the age of 7. i am actually shy, because i am sure they have this unaltered brain, uninfected by society, and they have a clear thinking, and because of that they judge me and make fun of me. i can’t interact with them without thinking all day long how stupid i’ve been.

Perhaps you could be less stupid?¿
It’s actually the other way around. If you talk to a kid that young they’ll think you’re the coolest thing since sliced bread
Although I totally find “castinmo’s” response amusing I have to agree with Lizz. Kids may be more innocent (if that’s what your meaning) but they are also less aware of the bad (or stupid) things in this world, aka naive. So I highly doubt as soon as you turn your back they are getting together with all their other little kid friends and making fun of you. They probably don’t have a friggin clue that people even do half the stupid things you do lol and you can’t judge something if you don’t know it exist.
I have a similar “phobia.” I worry obsessively that I’ll say some random thing to a child that will stick in their heads forever and make them feel bad about something. Example: I told my 9-year old niece the other day that she was “growing up and getting so big”…then obsessed all day that she might equate “getting so big” with “fat” and it would trigger an eating disorder.
