lysol sandwich
When I buy groceries I place them on the checkout counter in the way I plan on eating them. Breads, deli, cheeses. I’ve always thought the checkout person would find me weird if I paired Lysol with muffins thinking that’s how I plan to eat them. Covered in Lysol.

Honestly, we don’t pay much attention to how your food is placed on the belt.
But putting the heavy things first is, while difficult, a help!
Everything on the belt in the order that it has to be packed in the shopping bags – heavy stuff, tins and undamageables first and all the light stuff lettuce etc last so it ends up on top so it doesn’t get squashed.
I don’t usually pay attention to what people are buying unless its just a few items. Then I try to make a story out of it. Candles, peanut butter, paper towels = lonely night in.
