Whenever send something out in the mail that has to be folded or have a label or stamp attached to it, I have make sure all of the folds are straight, and the label and stamp have to be placed “just right.” Not because I think that the mail carriers or the people who receive the items will think “Wow, these look nice. What a great job!” but because I don’t want them to think, “Wow, look how crooked these are. What a crappy job.” I think that getting sloppy mail will bring people down.

i do that too, only it’s because when i was little i was convinced that if the stamp and label were on crooked, the letter wouldn’t get sent out and i’d get it back.
