you’re after my neurosis
I’m a cashier, and my money HAS to all be facing in the same direction, and color coordinated. If I take over someone else’s drawer, I can’t ring up the next customer until it’s right.

I absolutely canNOT stand when other people get into my drawer and do not put the money back where it goes. I 100% refuse to take the next order until I take out all the bills and check to make sure every bill is facing the same direction. It drives my boss nuts but she won’t fire me because I’m a good worker other than my drawer needing to be in perfect order!
I’m so with you on this! The top of the bill has to be facing to the right, though. If I was covering someone’s break on their register and they had them all straightened with the tops facing left, I’d fix it while they were gone. I also organized the individual piles from most worn/damaged on top to new, crispy bills on the bottom. That way I always had the good ones in my drawer and the customer took the crappy ones. Unfolding any edges or corners and taping tears in the bill is also a must.
wow that’s like really OCD. I have that one somethings where it has to be done a certain way or else i throw a fit.
I do this…I’m a supervisor so actually, I do this to EVERYONE’s till when I get on the floor…and then I do it to their tills when I drop all the money and I do it to all the money that I’ve counted that night. I don’t think it’s cause I’m crazy though because the ladies at the bank do it when I bring in the deposit…I feel I’m just being considerate and doing it when I get on makes it so I don’t have to face everyone’s money at the end of the night.
LOL am I the only “customer” reading this that thinks this is horribly rude
i have to do this with my wallet, as well. when cashiers hand me bills that arent bank face i have to fix them, and then i worry about the cashier thinking i don’t trust them, that i’m actually recounting my change.
