perfect peel
Whenever I boil eggs and peel them, they have to peel perfectly or I throw them away. Sometimes I boil twice as many as I need just so that I have enough for the dish I am making. I know its wasteful but when the egg is all torn up it looks like it’s not a healthy egg.

I just crack a small hole on each end of the shell, then blow the egg out. :]
1. find someone who can’t even afford eggs.
2. give them free food.
3. stop being so wasteful, and stop being okay with detestable behavior.
4. PROFIT!!!
Oh L you are so right!!! They should run out with their eggs and find someone to give them to. I am sure you have never thrown a morsel of food away. You behavior on the other had is so nonjudgemental and loving. thanks from all of us.
when one lives around an area where homeless people are helped out (ATX, for example) and many caring, progressive and contributing people who *do* think to put less fortunate others before their own wasteful hang ups, you are far more loving than when one throws out perfectly good food over something this silly. maybe the egg isn’t good enough for this person, but it is damned good enough for another. but perhaps it is just too foreign an idea to some to give whats still good instead constantly making garbage, for some. here, our whole foods store puts out day-of-expiration date foods for free for the homeless and poor to pick up no questions asked. real judgmental and unloving, aye?

this is just the worst! please give the food to someone who isn’t as nuts as you are and would appreciate even an imperfect egg. people are starving for crying out loud! sorry, i’m going with the judgmental side on this one.
Oh my! I hardly think the two or three eggs a month I pitch when mixing tuna is such a horrible sin. Unless you eat every morsel you ever get on your plate I hardly think we are any different. As I stated I worry they are not healthy eggs…(ie old, left too long in the heat before getting to market, have some bacteria etc.) They concern me. I stated that in my post. Why some eggs in same pot peal easy and others don’t when cooked at the exact same time and temp concerns me. So don’t tell me to find someone to give them to, I wouldn’t feed someone something I was worried about. WOW
CS, your worries about whether or not the eggs are good is because you are neurotic so the eggs are just not good to you but are fine for 99.999999997% of the rest of the world
hahahaha, the only reason some egg shells stick and some don’t is because of how old the egg is and has nothing to do with something being “wrong” with it. if you boil an egg you bought two weeks ago, it will peel more easily. so all in all, your logic is in essence flawed, and pretty unsound considering it would be an old, perfectly peeled egg that would probably be more likely to be gross than the newer, harder to peel egg. then again, boiling doesn’t like, kill gross stuff or anything. science is bullshit, and neurosis totally trumps, ya know? hahaha. haha. ahem.

everyone does have a point though cs. While others are just slamming you for your neuroses, which you obviously can’t help, let me offer you a viable alternative. Every egg your about to hit the trash with, instead wrap it up, or keep it in a tupperware container. then when you have three undesirtable eggs stick em in a couple sandwiches with some mayo and chive, and take em down to a soup kitchen and donate them or some shit. you could even just find some random homeless dude to give em to. You’d make his day
ALSO! Not only would you make his day, but you could have the chance to turn your own neuroses, and put a positive spin on it, therefore eliminating the anxiety associated with it
can we please not forget the animal cruelty to the chickens that have to suffer from us eating/ wasting so much chicken and eggs?
Oh and they did say would make 2x as much b/c they were going to end up throwing half away so the debate that only a little waste is okay should be thrown out the window
