librarians keep track
Whenever i borrow videos from my library, neglect to watch them, and return them, i hate to take them out again after that, even if it’s a film i really wanted to see, simply because i don’t want the librarian who checks the movie out to ask me something like “you must really like this movie huh?”. the reason being i can’t lie to them and say “i sure do!” nor do i want explain that i took the movie out and just didn’t watch it last time.

My job is checking in materials at libraries. We really don’t care to look at what you’ve checked out in the past and multiple people, as I do, check out things over again. I checked out six movies at a time and don’t have time to watch them so I check the same thing out many times until I get a chance to watch them. Or to bypass all of this, just call and renew your materials for another week
having worked at a video store for years, i can tell you that there are times where we did often feel compelled to check the member’s history, wether it was work-related or simply for our own entertainment. you’d be suprised how much we knew about the renting habits of customers simply by reviewing their accounts. having said that, renting a dvd twice or even up to 4 times is an incredibly common occurance, if you borrow something again, i assure you they will think nothing of it. or simply do what kate suggested and renew your items.
