can’t get the ketchup out
If a condiment bottle with the lid/opening on the bottom and placed on the table with the lid on the top and therefore with the label upside down I must flip them. The entire purpose of the bottle is that the lid is on the bottom so that it is easy to use. It is insulting to the bottle if you defy its purpose and place it upside down.

It’s put upside down to prevent the lid from transferring condiment onto the table or getting contaminants from the table onto the condiment blob typically on the bottom of the lid. It’s about being sanitary, not fulfilling the ultimate purpose of the lid, which you claim is purely marketing.
