i’m a vampire!
Whenever I visit someone, I cannot even knock on the door unless I was given verbal permission by the owner to come. I was informed of a birthday party for a friend by a third party and was only able to leave the gift on the doorstop.

I have such a hard time with this too. When the third party thing happened to me, I called my friend’s friend to ask for “directions” (I was down the road) so they’d know I was coming and knew I’d be knocking on the door. I’ll even call my friends to let them know I’m on my way because that’s just the way I was raised. I can’t knock on someone’s door if they don’t know I’m supposed to be there.
