fancy pens
I have to use ballpoint or gel roller ink–highly preferring black. It has to be either Fine or Extra Fine tip. I cannot and will not write with a regular pen(those pens that fade in and out every millimeter). I haven’t used a regular pen in years.

i can’t write in blue.
haha—i wrote this entry—yeah i couldn’t write in blue either until I got this Uniball Microtip (0.5) that’s blue—for some reason–the blue in that pen is really nice and professional looking compared to any other blue pen i’ve ever seen—that’s the only time i use blue…other than that–it HAS to be black!! Right now my favorite pens are Uniball Deluxe Micro (charcoal gray outside color–really nice) and the Sharpie Pen (Black)..Both don’t bleed thru paper…
mine have to be retractable gel pens. the capped ones seem to always get separated from their caps. i also don’t let anyone use the pen i’m writing with. i keep a second pen in my pocket specifically for loaning.
oh yes, it must be black, and no, you may not borrow it (I have a blue decoy for just such an occasion)
I have an addiction to my felt-tipped pens. I have them in five different colors, with black for more formal occasions and a cheery orange for a little mood lift on a monotonous paper. I love them with a passion and watch over them like a hawk if I ever let anyone borrow them. I usually have regular ball point pen to loan people instead of the felt tips.
I have the exact OPPOSITE problem… I cannot write with the fancy pens. Being left-handed, those fancy pens smear and are difficult to write with. The only ones that don’t are the cheapy ball-point pens. They cannot be retractable, the cap must be put on the opposite end, and no, I will not share!
hi april, fellow leftie. i, on the other hand, cannot write with the cheapie ballpoints. i don’t write in the usual over-hand leftie manner (more striagh up and down) and they smear like crazy as my hand goes across the page. pencils, too. don’t know why i do it differently, just they way i learned to write. my favorite pen is uni-ball vision elite, bold black. it dries quickly on most paper and is smooth as silk. have to hide them at work because they vanish! i like sharpies, too.
I HATE fine and extra fine pens!! Mine have to be at least medium. If they’re fine or extra fine I feel like the point is scratching the paper and hurting it. My favorite pens are the cheap clicky Bic pens that companies get their logos printed on. I have used a State Farm pen for the past six months. Luckily, I know where to get more when it runs out.
