light switch limbo
I often times worry that light switches I turn off could be stuck between the on and off positions. Each night before bed I methodically check the switches in my house with a firm downward press. Occasionally, when anxious, I will make get out of bed to make a second circuit of the house checking all of the switches again.

I can usually tell if it is in the off position because the lights are off. A light switch is either off or on. There is no middle ground.
quite so. if you have dimmer switches you’ll still be able to tell. besides, what could possibly happen if it wasn’t all they way on/off??
I used to do this to, but after a friends house burned down because of faulty wiring and the switch that was in between on and off was giving out sparks…
Duh, if it isn’t all the way off a fire could start. I thought everyone knew that and checked just in case ><
I do this too! I thought I was the only one! I do it before I leave the house as well, and often times even if I am running late, I will end up checking 2 or 3 times.
