it’s not something in my eye
Whenever I’m in the passenger seat of a car, I occasionally blink in sequence with the spaces between the lane dash marks. And when I force myself to look away, I continue to blink sequentially on instinct only to continue looking back on the road, picking up where I left off.

I do the same thing, but I do it with my feet instead of blinking. I tap my feet in rhythm to the spaces between the lines.
AHHH I do it with my feet too! But I don’t really tap, I just kinda of contract the muscles to curl my toes in, just enough so I can feel it. Sometimes I follow the line in the middle of the road, other times I do it with the bike lane line. But if there is no bike lane line, I do it with curbs. I picture myself hoping from island to island (apparently the lines are islands) and the flexing of the foot is me tensing up when I land safely on the next one. Ohhh yea and sometimes my left foot follows the middle line, while my right foot follows the bike lane line. Multitasking!
OMG i do the EXACT exact exACT thing with my foot, like I lift my toes up over the dashes or “turtles” in the road on the left really really quick to jump over them and not step on them, or if I’m in the passenger seat I have to “jump over” the signs or trees on the right side of the car!!! I do it constantly!!! I feel like I’m gonna trip and die if I don’t do it!!! sometimes it is so so so hard because there are so many signs or poles or I am driving fast and the dashes are passing so quickly!! Sometimes I have to keep my foot up until there is a proper place to step down really quick but it’s hard and feels like I am holding my breath and that I must step down really soon in order to jump back up!!
