circle is the right answer
I will sit there, even on a time-crunched test, and circle every one of my answers. If the circle does not touch and form a completely connected figure, I will draw additional lines to close the circle, even if it takes twenty tries.

Yay! It definitely clears things up. Instead of drawing additional lines, these days, if the ends are close enough or overlapping with a gap, I draw a tiny circle around the area so they connect. To me, it makes sense that little circles are seals. I also feel like I can’t leave the circles open because something will get in or out of them.
kyrieMae — this is weird — i was reading stephen king’s book of short stories, “just after sunset”, on the train after work and then logged into this website when i got home. there is a story in this book called “N” that involves some very similar OCD issues and something was definitely going to get out of an unclosed circle. have you read this? if not, DON’T!! yikes…
