wet eyes
I absolutely cannot open my eyes when my face is wet. When I’m in the shower I’ll sort of scrape the water off my face with my hands until I feel my eyes are safe to open. The one exception to this is when my whole body is immersed underwater, but even then it takes work.

I thought this was normal!
My boyfriend thinks its cute to watch me grope for the towel like some kind of blind rodent.
I also can’t put my face in the pool.
YES! Only, I can’t do it when submerged in water either. It actually feels like it is physically impossible to open my eyes when I am underwater or my face is wet. SO Glad that someone else does this too.
I have to keep a dry wash rag draped over the shower curtain so I can wipe the water off my face at regular intervals when I take a shower so that no water gets in my eyes. I also will not get in a swimming pool with anybody I don’t know in case they try to splash water on me or dunk me underwater — even with people I know, I keep my towel near the edge of the pool for easy access to get any water off my face.
