chunky yogurt…ewwww
I can’t stand yogurt with any fruit or chunks of something in it or on the bottom. The texture is just wrong and my step-mother always seems to buy them. !!! So, when she isn’t there, I will eat the yogurt but I have to use a fork to eat it so that I can put all of the fruit particles on the “pre-licked” cover to the yogurt in a little pile in the exact middle of the cover. I will not eat any of the pieces and I will spit it out onto the pile if I missed a chunk. Fruit in yogurt just disgusts me!

Big me too for this one. I also would love to be able to enjoy fruit smoothies, as they seem so delicious, but the texture voids out any of supposed deliciousness. I just get nauseated and wince horribly when I feel the bits and seeds in my mouth.
i once worked with a girl who took this neurosis one step beyond: she loved campbell’s cream of mushroom soup but not the little bitty pieces of diced mushrooms, and would pick them all out before/while eating. i really could not wrap my mind around this at all. and yes her soup would eventually get cold! could you just ask you step-mom to please get you some non-fruit yogurt? seems the logical thing, unless she’s a wicked step-mother!
I feel exactly the same. Yoplait Whips are my favorite for this reason. No chunks. Oh, and it’s the same thing with Jell-O. I hate pieces of fruit in my Jell-O.
You could put it through a wide mesh sieve into a bowl bits in bowl, fruit in sieve to be disposed of later, bit messy but I guess it’d work okay? Personally I love bits in yoghurt and will frequently add seeds, fruit and chunky breakfast cerial to mine.
I hate anything in my ice cream. Chocolate chips, stuff like that… I also hate orange juice with pulp in it.
Freeze dried fruit is horrible. Strawberries are the worse. And my mom always makes fun of me for not eating any yogurt with the little bits of fruit in it, but it’s not natural! If fruit were meant to be in yogurt, quite clearly, it wouldn’t taste so awful.
I hated chunky yogurt, too. I used to add granola to it to offset the chunky fruit…more granola than yogurt, most times. And then I discovered Brown Cow yogurt. They have a chocolate flavored yogurt that is awesome. Plus there’s a layer of cream on top that is so rich and yummy. (This is not an ad, BTW.) I eventually stopped adding granola to Brown Cow because it tasted so good on its own.
