considerate neuroses
When I baby sit my niece I watch TV with the volume at 5 and captions on so not to wake her. I’ve been told this is ridiculous.

Well, i do love the moronic and childish ones. Deep down we’re all a bit like that (I know i am). But I agree with Mike Wilson, this one makes sense and is really sweet.
as a mom, i know that you probably don’t HAVE to be as quiet as you think, but it’s never wrong. my kids slept through the noise of a big fire across the street from us after a huge thunderstorm! kids are pretty out of it usually. it’s nice that you do that, tho.
I think it’s more considerate to turn the volume up to 35 and vacuum while they’re sleeping. That way the kids won’t get used to silence and when they’re adults, they’ll be able to sleep peacefully when their idiot husband watches basketball or on airplanes or whatever.
