microsoft is just tormenting you
I get a little too attached to my Microsoft Office assistant, the animated paper clip that annoys everyone else. Its eyes look sad, and I always feel a tiny twinge when it offers help I don’t need. Ditto for the little dog who helps you look for files in the C drive. Once I made it do tricks for like 5 minutes straight.

I’m soooooooooo glad I’m not the only one who feels this. I have absolutely no compassion for ANYTHING else, but small things like this make me feel soooo sad. :[
I adore the mother earth assistant. Once I made it do its thing over and over and over, until I was certain I’d seen every single transformation.
the first thing i do when i get a new computer at work is turn that stupid clip off! the dog is cuter but he has to go, too. if you don’t know how to use your software RTFM.
If you want people to RTFM, make a better FM.
now I’m being dense what does RTFM stand for?
read the freakin’ manual. and yes, zach, they could make better manuals! it seems like a lot of people only want to know how to use the very, very basics, tho, so maybe the clip guy is good for them.
I disabled the paper clip guy because I couldn’t stand to see his disappointed face when I didn’t need help. I tend to feel sorry for inanimate objects though.
