i like lower case too!
whenever i start a text message or type a sentence on facebook/twitter/etc, it has to start with a lower case letter. if i forget to start it with one i delete the whole text or message and start over. the only time i use capital letters is in school, and that is only because i have to.

I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND
First comment wins.
its okay… happens to me too… kinda suck because my phone automatically capitalizes things.. hahah
I only use capital letters during school and on the internet; I dislike upper case and don’t use it if I can get away with not doing so.
capitals screw up the whole aesthetic of the sentence ><
i perfer all lower case letters, but i’m always afraid that people will think that it’s an error rather than a choice. so, i always have to type it out completely lower case then go back and “correct” the letters that need to be capitaled (when needed).
capital letters should be used sparingly, with emphasis, so they can Startle the reader.
i agree 100% with Sara
usually i type w/lowercase but then whenever i type something professional, i’ll go back afterwards to correct the necessary words to capital. hehe
I am the exact opposite of you. I prefer starting all of my sentences with the first letter capitalized. If not, I erase and try again.
I agree with Grammar Police. I start every sentence with a capital letter simply because it’s correct. With no capitals in the sentence, it looks wrong and stupid. It’s like a small child wrote it. It might as well be done in purple crayon.
I’m with grammar Nazi on this one. Capital letters for the start of a sentence and proper names. To me it seems that people who don’t use proper capitalisation or or punctuation are uneducated. (not necessarily true I know, before those of you who don’t like them get offended)
this has come up multiple times on this site. it’s certainly correct to capitalize, and i do it at work but nowhere else. in high school i just seemed to prefer the way lower case looked. sort of smooth and calm. then i found out that e.e. cummings was born on the same day, october 14 (not the same year, however!) so i thought maybe there was a connection. ah, the teenage mind. still love my lower case, tho!
I have to say, I’m quite the opposite. I can’t stand improper grammar. Alexi, Grammar Nazi, and Grammar Police, I agree wholeheartedly with you. I actually judge people when their grammar is poor, which I know probably sounds ridiculous to most. That’s one of my neurotic tendencies though.
Fuckin’ hipsters.
which ones are the hipsters??
