If the vacuum is on, I must hum, increasing my volume, until I can just hear my humming.

I do this with any loud, continuous noise, like the sound of a lawnmower.

I will hum with any noise like that, but at a sliiiiight dischord. Perhaps half a note off. Just because I love the ringing in my head.
