internal compass
The first thing I do in every new place I go to is establishing the cardinal points. I cannot relax until I succeeded.

use a phone with gps, it’s easier:)
i actually have a compass with me all the time because i want to know where my hometown is in relation to where i am. even if it’s just an approximation
