whenever i am in public, listening to music on my iPod, and someone walks by me, i always pause the music to make sure i’m not making any weird noises. if i fail to pause the music, i hold my breath.

Whenever I sing a song and someone tries to talk to me, I have to finish the part that I’m singing before I talk to them because otherwise it will bother me. Just the fact that I’m doing something and someone interrupt me irks me.

Whenever my brother goes to the bathroom, he sings the Star Wars theme song. It doesn’t matter where he is. No one has ever brought it to his attention. We aren’t sure if he even knows he does it or not.

I change the lyric “love” to “glove” whenever I hear cheesy love songs. This allows me to listen to them without feeling cheesy.

musical numerical significance

When I find a new musical artist I like, I download the discography and get rid of the albums other people (or Wikipedia) say aren’t as popular or good. Sometimes I have compulsions to not download any more music because the number of songs in my iTunes is an important number. Like 1984 (my favorite book). The number of songs on my iPod is now 2010 (next year).

If my parents go out i always listen to music, if i hear even the slightest noise i turn off the music for 5 minutes and then i HAVE to check every room in the house just in case someone else is there.

If I am home alone and decide to take a shower, I get really scared that someone will break into my house and kill me when I’m naked and vulnerable. To keep this from happening, I sing different genres of songs in the shower (rap, showtunes, country). I do this in hopes that the killer will enjoy one of these types of music, and decide against killing me.

when i was little and would play with our piano, i always had to play more high notes than low notes, because low notes were monsters and high notes were angels, and they were having a war in my closet. I needed the angels to outnumber the monsters so they could win. If i ever accidentally played more low notes than high ones, i had to poke the higher keys at least 10 times to make up for any loss on the angel’s behalf.
