When I was younger I had to sleep with every stuffed animal in a very specific equal order to keep them from getting jealous and attacking each other or me. I only sleep with one now to prevent that! Ever since watching Toy Story when I was five, I can’t shake the idea that they might be alive!

As a child I could never name my stuffed animals and dolls, because I figured that they allready names but where unable to tell and who was I to rename them.

As a child I was terrified that vampires were going to get me so I would either sleep with stuffed animals around my neck…or in the bathtub so I could see all around me.

If I see a toy that was misplaced or is lying face down, I get unbelievably sad until I pick it up, hug it for a bit, and place it on a shelf sitting up.

I have a severe fear of any form of miniature doll or figurine. It isn’t anything else small, just dolls and figurines. I freak out when I’m near them…they just disturb me, and it’s disgusting to touch one, or if it’s where I can look at it, I have to move it out of my sight.

I sleep with a teddy bear I’ve had since I was four- but I have to make sure its head is above the covers all night. My father used to go on long trips away from home, and I believed that his soul was leased to the stuffed animal while he was gone. I am always terrified that it will suffocate and subsequently my father will die.

Even though I KNOW stuffed toys are just pieces of fabric, I can’t bear it if I see one all squashed or if I see anyone messing around with one, i.e. squashing it, throwing it around, letting pets maul it, etc., because I can’t stop thinking the toy is in pain!

When I was little, I would apologize to my stuffed animals if I dropped them or something, so they wouldn’t kill me in my sleep. I also tried to evenly divide my attention among them so no one got lonely or jealous, and tried to kill me in my sleep.
